The Band

With Paris Hot Five we enter the vibrant nightlife of the bars and cabarets in Paris in the 1930s and 40s. Jazz giants such as Django Reinhardt, Charles Trenet, Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington are at the peak of their success, delighting their audiences and preparing the dance floor for Swing, Lindy Hop, Balboa and Charleston.

With a distinctive blend of gypsy and musette, the purely acoustic ensemble transports its audience to this legendary era of exuberant joie de vivre.

Christian Ther on the accordion, Joachim Norz on the guitar, Volker Kaulartz as a clarinetist, Julian Jochen on bass and the singer and guitarist Alex Wiemer make every place swing.

Messieurs dames, c'est chaud!

DJs

Franky Doo

DJ Franky Doo's mission is as simple as this: He wants to make you dance, dance, dance... and dance!
To achieve this goal, his first step is to throw away anything that looks like a playlist. Instead he is constantly vibing with the dancers and their energy on the floor and chooses his next tune accordingly, always guaranteeing that it's going to be another perfect pearl of the classic original recordings.

Ingrid

She has been on the dance floors of the swing scene for over a quarter of a century. It began in the '90s when swing dancing was experiencing a renaissance and she was amazed to discover that the timeless energy of that era could still be danced to today.
Her fascination for the non-verbal communication of the dance couples, the physical movement energy based on rhythm and flow and mental arithmetic with footwork variations is unbroken. Ideas for DJ sets also come from listening to jazz in hidden clubs and music festivals.

DJ Remy Demy

Cologne based, guarantees to serve you the finest Swing tunes and make you dance all night. As a Balboa dancer himself with over 10 years of experience in dancing Balboa and travelling from event to event, DJ Remy knows what you need to shuffle until your feet catch fire.
